Blessed John Paul II

Today we celebrate the feast of Blessed John Paul II –  the last time we will celebrate this feast.  Why? On April 27, 2014, Divine Mercy Sunday, the Church will raise Blessed John Paul II to sainthood.  From then on it’ll be Saint John Paul II!

I still miss him!

Even through Benedict XVI and Francis I, my ears seem to wait for “Your servant, Pope John Paul II” during the liturgy of the Eucharist.  And I must admit, I think it’s so cool that in my lifetime, I’ve witnessed and loved a person elevated to the communion of saints with a big “S”.  Do you feel the same way?

Each time I hear his voice or see his picture, a smile covers my face.  So, I poked around to find some wonderful visual memories of this holy man.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

Blessed John Paul II, pray for us!  Anne
