My Yoke is Easy

Today’s gospel reading is simple and profound:

Jesus said:
“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” (Mt 11:28-30)

Are you burdened?

Do you need rest?

Jesus invites you today to walk beside him in order to lighten your load:

  1. Yoke yourself to him. He is the stronger of the pair, and as such, will teach you how to carry your burden.
  2. Carry it with meekness, humility and love.
  3. Turn to him when it feels heavy and say, “Jesus, I trust in You.” Only then will it become light.

St. Camillus, pray for us! Anne
